Citizens Center
The Citizens Center is the former home to the Leola Senior Citizens. Due to cost and upkeep, the building was sold to the city. The building in recent years has went under a remodeling/updating stage. Bathrooms have been made handicapped accessible and an elevator has been installed. There is also in floor heating, air conditioning and a large kitchen. The building is available for public use for receptions, graduations, weddings, meetings, etc. Cost to rent the Citizens Center is $100.00 per day. Piggy Bank Thrift Store
The Piggy Bank Thrift Store is located on the upper floor of the Leola Citizen Center Building on Sherman Street. The Piggy Bank is open by volunteers on Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Fridays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Gently used men's, women's, children's clothing and shoes are available for purchase. Along with dishes, kettles, and household items, decorative items, holiday decorative items, craft items, cards, and some small furniture. Children's toys, DVD's & CD's, games, and books for adults and children are available. Inventory is always changing. Stop in and see if there is anything you might want or need. You may find a hidden treasure. Drop offs are welcome when the Piggy Bank is open, or they can be left in the drop box by the door. Seasonal items are requested.
