The following fees for permits and licenses have been set by the Leola City Council.
Copier Use - $0.25 per copy or
$10.00 for Toner with supplied paper
Faxing - $0.50 per page received
$1.00 per page sent
Card Table Licenses - $2.00 per table per year
Vendor License - $10.00 In order to sell door to door a license must be purchased and vendor must have a SD State ID for sales tax.
Excavating Fee - $30.00 plus a Bond in an equal amount of replacement cost.
Cutting Pavement - $30.00 plus a bond in the amount of all costs or replacement material on a square yard basis.
Sidewalk Construction Permit - $30.00 plus a bond in an equal amount of the total amount of work & material costs.
Repeat Offenders Bond - $100.00
Camping Fees - $10.00 per NIGHT, $50.00 per WEEK, & $200.00 per MONTH
Rubble Site - No Charge for rubble & compost. Items and cost of items taken to be collected and transported to another site is as follows---- White Goods - $5.00 each; Asphalt Shingles - $20.00 per ton.
NO car & pickup tires, truck tires, & tractor tires or cement will be taken at the Restricted Use Site.

Dog Licenses
$10.00 per year for each neutered/spayed dog.
$15.00 per year for each dog not neutered/spayed.
All Dogs must be licensed once a year old. All licenses expire on December 31st of each year or last day the office
is open for business for the year. A $10.00 late fee is imposed on all dogs licensed after December
31st. Proof of distemper & rabies shots have to be shown before license tags are issued. No household
can be issued a license for more that 2 dogs unless entity receives a permit from the City authorizing said
person, firm, or entity to engage in the business of raising dogs for resale. A permit shall only be granted by the
City upon showing that such business will not create excessive noise, odors, or detriment to the
community and it is unlawful for any person, firm, or entity to possess any dogs predominately breeds for fighting, unless trained for the ADA assistance. The type of dog restricted herein consists of the following breeds: Bull Mastiff, German Shepherd, Doberman Pincher, Rottweiler or any other dog mixtures of fighting breeds. ( See Ordinance 7-6)

Water Deposit - $100.00, any debt or credit on account will be deducted or added to the Water Deposit
before refunding. Renter’s debt left on account is the owner’s responsibility.
Water Rates - Minimum is $35.00 for service for 00-1000 gallons.
$0.50 per hundred after the 1st 1000 gallons or $5.00 for each 1000 gallons.
