Leola Area Right to Life's first meeting was held on January 29, 1996 where officers were elected. Activities over the years had included; "Smile, Your Mom Chose Life!" sign that is located on Highway 10 east of Leola, working at Leola Rhubarb Days, auction sales and summer grocery store cook-out wagons, writing letters-to-the-editor, participating in Homecoming parades, hosting no-bake bake sales and attending region meetings and South Dakota Right to Life conventions.
